I have... and recently I found myself in a position where I wanted to use map imagery from a tool that did NOT offer any kind of export function. The only way I could capture the map imagery by taking a screenshot. The issue with this approach is the balance between what I can fit on my (laptop) screen and the loss of fine detail due to my level of zoom.
Solution
Zoom in to an appropriate level of detail and stitch the images together, this works but is a tedious task if done manually...
Panorama Stitcher
This app will automate the stitching process for you!
There is a free version that will stitch a limited number of images together. I tested this free version on a small sample of screenshots, I was impressed with the speed, accuracy and resulting image. I immediately bought the 'pro' version at £15.
I was able to zoom in so that the desired level of detail would be collected, this resulted in 80 screenshots which Panorama Stitcher was able to assemble into a single high resolution map without any additional input from me.
